This progression of a deepening commitment to following Jesus Christ is evident in a passage from the Gospel of Mark in which Jesus asks the disciples, “Who do people say I am?” He also puts that question to the disciples as well. The response of the people, the disciples, and then Jesus own self definition, reveal a progress of faith development.
I would really be curious where you think you fall on the chart. I think I have a tendency to slop back and forth between the “Savior Zone” and “Lord Zone.”
These zones aren’t necessarily mutually exclusive, but my heart’s desire would be to start each day with both feet firmly planted in the Lord Zone. Too often however, I allow myself to become distracted. How about you? Please comment below.
