The Apostle Paul in a letter to the Romans raises a question that plagues everyone at one point or another. “Why do I do that which I do not want to do?” In fact, Paul wonders why he goes so far as to do the very thing he hates. Can you relate?

Today’s sermon and text addresses this question head on. One dead end approach to answer this question is to try to explain our behavior through psychologically or physical triggers. We say to ourselves, I did what I did because I was tired, anger, or afraid.

The problem with this approach is that you are fooling yourself to believe that if only you were well rested, calm, and stress-free you would not sin. But if you are honest with yourself, you’ll admit that even under the best of conditions you are still 100% capable of sin.

So, how do you deal with knowing right from wrong, but still choosing the wrong? Listen and find out.
