How do you react when life gets tough? In Psalm 62, David offer us an example of what it looks like to live faithfully in the face of adversity. He also offers an instructive word of what to do and warnings of what not to do, or more accurately, what not to trust.

This sermon is one for everyone in that, at one point or another we all come under attack by life. In this sermon you’ll learn how the disquiet you feel can actually be helpful because it can be a trigger prompting you to pour out your heart before the Lord. When we do so, we open up the possibility of finding a silence in our soul as we wait for the Lord.

One other important lesson we can draw from David’s experience is that in the face of adversity, we need to remind ourselves that God IS our rock, refuge, fortress, and only salvation. I emphasize the word “is” because having a mindset of the truth of God’s immediate presence in your life, rather than His presence being something you must wait for is critical for you to have and know peace immediately.

Lastly, God and God alone is our salvation. Putting setting your heart on or other sources of security is a mistake and false sense of protection. We hope this sermon is a blessing and that you’ll both share it and explore the whole series.
