Are you neglecting your relationship with God because you are too busy? This is quite common and the problem is not a new one. Today’s sermon focuses on a story that is old and familiar to many people, the story of Mary and Martha. This is a story of misplaced priorities because of being too busy.

Mary and Martha were two sister being visited by Jesus. Mary welcomed Jesus and sat at his feet while Martha scurried around getting many things done. Martha was resentful that Mary sat and did nothing but welcome Jesus and listen.

In fact, Martha was so resentful that she actually wanted Mary chastised. Jesus, however, told Martha, “You are worried and distracted by many things.” He even went so far to say that only one thing was important and Mary had chosen the better thing.

If you struggle with staying constantly busy so that you’re neglecting your relationship with God, listen to this sermon.
