Rev. John Arnold reflects in this sermon on the experience of the shepherds visited by an Angel on the night of Jesus’ birth. This supernatural encounter and first hand experience of the newborn messiah was so moving the shepherds couldn’t contain the Good News. Many heard and marveled. But, how many marveled for a moment and then moved on.

We can do the same with the wonder of Christmas. Our hearts are stirred with special worship service, surprise gifts, and time with family. The experiences touch us, but often times we abandon these precious moments all too rapidly. Mary we are told, treasured all these things in her heart. Do you bump into Jesus at Christ for a moment of feeling awe, or do you treasure him?
