Jesus gave the disciples a new commandment, “Love one another as I have loved you.” Lest there be any confusion of what he meant by this he demonstrated servant leadership by humbling himself and washing their feet.

Foot washing was a task left to the lowliest of servants. Jesus model humble servant love through this example. His new commandment extends to all believers.

Often times, people criticize the church for moments of hypocrisy. Anyone regularly working in the life of the church knows though that more often than not, a church family can be one of the most loving and amazing experiences. I, John Arnold have received or witnessed repeatedly astounding and profound love of church people.

In this sermon, I share one of the most moving experiences of being on the receiving end of the love of Christ’s amazing body, the church. Listen and hear a glimpse of the beauty of what the church can be if we humble our hearts and serve one another.
