This sermon is based on Luke’s account of the baptism of Jesus, Luke 3:15-17, 21-22.

Why was Jesus baptized? Have you ever thought about that? On the surface, it seems completely unnecessary.  John the Baptist was calling people to repent of their sins and he was offering them a baptism of repentance, but Jesus has no sin. Which begs the question, Why be baptized?

Rev. John Arnold explores this question and in doing so reveals both the depth of Jesus obedience to his heavenly Father and God’s immense love for his son. Through Jesus baptism that abiding love of God the Father extends to you. Listen and learn why.
