You are invited to enjoy the beauty and reverence of a candlelight communion service with us Thursday, December 23, 6:00 pm.
NOTE: Our Candlelight is on the day before Christmas Eve, December 23.
The sacrament of communion will be celebrated. Here at First Presbyterian Church we have an open table, meaning that guests are welcome to receive the sacrament.
We serve communion following a practice known as intinction. Which means that rather than distributing the bread and the juice, worshippers are invited to come forward. Upon doing so they tear a piece of communion bread from the communion loaf and then dip the bread in a chalice of juice. Communion will be brought to those who are unable to come forward.
Pre-packaged individual cups or available for anyone with COVID concerns.
We hope to see you there. Have a blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year,
Rev. John Arnold
